Assembly Descriptions

Mad Science Assemblies

Assemblies are science themed shows that are performed for large groups of children (approximately 50 to 200) where experiments often involve volunteers to make the experience more interactive. These are performed in school gyms, at summer camps, basically for anyone who has a large group of children they would like to be entertained.

  • Assembly A: Fire and Ice
Children will be dazzled and entertained as they interact with our Mad Scientists! This spectacular show will thrill audiences with impressive science experiments. The event includes foggy dry ice storms and demonstrates how giant beach balls can float in the air. Volunteers from the audience can taste a special Mad Science "burp" potion. Students will be amazed by sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers.
  • Assembly B: Up, Up and Away!
This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure. Children are amazed as a soda bottle is crushed before their very eyes and understand how pressure affects the world around us. The Mad Scientist will make a hot air balloon out of a dry cleaning bag and have a volunteer show the audience how a parachute works. A vortex generator will create giant smoke rings and a special powder will be used to surprise everyone. The children will get to also see an incredible exothermic reaction take place. Finally, a special finale will illustrate how pressure can be used to create special effects in the movies.
  • Assembly C: Spin, Pop, Boom  **MAD SCIENTIST RECOMMENDED**
The audience will be amazed when the Mad Scientist is able to defy gravity in this energetic and spectacular special event. The children will be enthralled with the exotic sounds of the didgeridoo tubes. They will watch as the Mad Scientist creates an extra hand, to help with some of the more complicated experiments. An explosion of foam will help to end this event and leave the audience begging for more.
  • Assembly D: Eureka!
Inventors one and all come and gather round and put your thirst for adventure to the test! Let our Mad Scientist take you into the past to learn about some of the greatest inventors of the our past! Dazzling electric demonstrations to explore the inventions of Nikola Tesla and Benjamin Franklin. Learn about Bernoulli's principle and about the fantastic invention of Marion O'Brien Donovan that revolutionized life for parents. We end our fantastic performance with a two-ply surprise!
