The following workshops are great for children in Kindergarten - 5th Grade.
*Our most popular workshops are: Dry Ice, Slime, Detective Science and Bugs!*
Some of our experiment require access to electricity and/or water. (E)=Electricity (W)=Water
Acids & Bases - Uncover the secrets of chemistry and effects acids and bases have on our daily lives. Learn to test for acid rain and make your own CO2 fire extinguisher. A great introduction to chemical reactions! (W)
All about Animals - Lean about how animals adapt to their climate and condition. Children will find out why animals have bones, fur, claws and teeth (W)
Bugs - Students will explore the world's most abundant animal as they investigate how bugs grow and change through their life cycles. (E)
Black & Blue Oceans - This workshop introduces students to environmental issues relating to our water system, and the difficulties in cleaning up oil spills. (W)
***Suggested grade range is Grades 3 to 6*** for this workshop. This makes for an excellent Earth Day workshop!
Che-Mystery - Eliminate the mystery in chemistry! Experiment with mixtures and solutions and grow a crystal garden! (W)
Detective Science - Discover how science is used to solve crimes! Watch as the classroom is transformed into a crime lab for this exciting exploration of the fundamentals of forensics. (W)
Dirt on Garbage - Discover which resources can be used and reused in this introduction to improving the environment around us. Children will make a great eco-art project out of biodegradable materials. (W)
Dry Ice - Explore the 3 states of matter with our amazing bubbling potions! Investigate melting, evaporation, and sublimation as you learn how objects can change state before your very eyes. (W & E)
